In a fast-paced digital world where messages are sent in seconds and forgotten just as quickly, there’s a quiet little café in Seoul that invites you to slow down—and write.
Tucked away in the neighbourhood of Haebangchon near Itaewon is a gem called A Space Filled With You. This charming café is not only a place to enjoy a warm drink but also an experience of connection, reflection, and surprise.
A Letter to Your Future Self
What makes this café extraordinary is its concept: you write a letter—to yourself, to someone you love, to your future self—and choose the date you’d like it mailed. The café stores your letter safely and posts it on the exact day you selected. Six months? A year? It’s up to you.
You’ll be welcomed by a beautiful wall of envelopes—hundreds of sealed letters waiting to be sent out into the world. Each one carries a personal story, a memory, or a message of hope.
How It Works
For just 3,000 won, you receive a “Letter Set,” which includes two beautiful postcards and an envelope. If you’d like to add a special touch, a wax seal can be added for 1,000 won extra. After writing your letter, you’ll head to the sealing station where you melt wax over a candle and imprint it with a stamp that reads the name of the café—A Space Filled With You. It’s a beautifully meditative process.
Yes, they mail internationally! Just be sure to ask about additional costs if you’re sending your letter outside Korea.
